Depending on what the research uncovers, your archive may include register photographs, transcription, English translation, family lineage, field verification and recordings from the research centre.

Search centres and outcomes
A clear record of the centre or centres searched and the outcome of each — record located, no matching record located, search incomplete or search cancelled (with reason where applicable).
Research trail
A documented account of what was searched, when it was searched and the evidence used to reach the outcome.
Secure digital access
Your completed archive and included files are provided through your secure Indian Archive account.
Included where located, recorded or captured
Not every case receives every media type. These items appear in your archive when the evidence exists and can be captured with permission.
Original register photographs
High-resolution photographs of the register pages containing your family entry.
Original-language transcription
Careful transcription in Devanagari, Gurmukhi or the traditional script used by the register.
English translation
Clear English translation of the transcribed register entry.
Family lineage and family tree
A reviewed family tree built from the evidence, distinguishing what was confirmed from what was supplied.
Priest or researcher audio recordings
Spoken evidence captured at the centre — for example, a priest reading the entry aloud.
Priest or researcher video recordings
Video recorded at the centre when permitted, for context and provenance.
Field-visit GPS verification
Coordinates recorded at the research centre confirming the visit took place.
Map locations for searched centres
Maps identifying each centre searched during the research.
Register-entry or update evidence
For entry/update cases, evidence of the new entry or update completed by the register holder.

Where entry or update work takes place
If the appropriate register holder accepts the family information and new-entry or update work begins, the archive may also include evidence of the entry or update completed.
Acceptance by a register holder, the making of a new entry, the updating of an existing entry, and the format of any resulting evidence cannot be guaranteed and vary by centre and family.
