One complete service
The £595 managed service covers establishing your family’s appropriate traditional route, consulting the relevant Hindu priest, coordinating the agreed rites and relevant family-register work, and providing your Completion Report. You do not need to choose rites, negotiate payments or manage different people yourself.

One price. No bargaining. No separate priest payments.
You pay Indian Archive once for the agreed managed service. We handle the normal Hindu priest and traditional custodian payments, customary offerings, ritual materials, communication, translation, local attendance and India-side coordination required for the work we arrange. You do not need to bargain with anybody in India, work out who should be paid or how much, or pay separate normal priest or ritual bills afterwards.

Your price includes the normal Hindu priest and traditional custodian payments, customary offerings, normal ritual materials, our coordination and local attendance, translation and communication reasonably required to coordinate the agreed work, and delivery of any supporting material the custodian permits. There is nothing further to pay for the agreed work.

- What does the service cost?
- The website shows the service price in your selected or detected currency. Stripe confirms the exact amount before payment.
- Will we have to pay a priest or coordinator separately?
- No. You pay Indian Archive once for the agreed managed service. There are no separate normal bills afterwards for the Hindu priest, traditional custodian, customary offerings, ritual materials, local representatives, translation or India-side coordination.
- Do I need to know which Hindu rites or observances are required?
- No. Hindu practices vary by family, region, community, family tradition and hereditary-priest practice. Indian Archive identifies the appropriate priestly route, and the relevant Hindu priest advises which rites and observances apply.
- The funeral and cremation already happened abroad. Is it too late?
- No. Many families we help completed the funeral and cremation where they live. We ask what happened as context, then use the family's religious tradition and ancestral background to identify the appropriate priestly route.
- The ashes have already been immersed where we live. Does that change anything?
- No. That step is complete and we never ask a family to repeat it or send ashes to India. Your family's tradition and the priest's guidance determine whether other observances apply.
- Is family-register or Bahi work always relevant?
- No. A Bahi applies only where your family's own tradition includes one. It is not a government record and not a compulsory religious requirement. Where it is relevant, the coordination is part of the same service at no extra cost.
- Can I begin if I do not know every family detail?
- Yes. You can begin even if you do not know every detail. Ancestral village, family name and Gotra where relevant are important identifiers and may need to be provided before final submission so we can establish the appropriate family route. Your progress is saved, so you can start now and return after speaking with relatives if necessary. “I don't know” remains available where Indian Archive can genuinely investigate or determine the answer.
- Does every Hindu family follow the same process?
- No. Practices differ between families, regions, communities and family traditions. Sankalp, Pind Daan and Shraddha-related observances are examples, not a menu. We learn about your family's background and establish its traditional path with the priest.
- Do the ashes need to travel to India?
- No. Indian Archive does not transport ashes. If ashes have already been scattered or immersed where you live, we do not ask you to repeat it or send them to India.
- Is Bahi work included?
- Where relevant, yes. We identify or confirm the appropriate traditional connection, contact the hereditary priest or custodian, communicate the death and family details, follow the work through and report the outcome. It is part of the overall service, not a separate product.
- Do I need to know our family priest or register centre?
- No. Share any old contacts, receipts, photographs or family memories you have. We use the information to establish the appropriate route behind the scenes.
- Can we participate by WhatsApp video?
- You can request to join the rites by WhatsApp video, ask us to handle everything on your behalf, or ask us to contact you before scheduling. A live call depends on timing, the priest, location and connectivity, so it cannot be guaranteed and the work can still proceed according to your permission.
- What will we receive?
- You receive an Indian Archive Completion Report recording the work undertaken, observances arranged, Bahi or family-register work, outcomes, relevant contacts and supporting material where available.
- Will we receive a photograph or copy of the Bahi?
- Not always. The register remains with its hereditary custodian. Photographs, scans and copies depend on what the custodian permits and provides. We include supporting material when available, but your Completion Report does not depend on a register photograph.
- When do I pay?
- Payment is the final submission step. First provide and review your loved one's, family and ancestral information, pronunciation recordings, participation preference and any helpful documents. You then see the price in your selected or detected currency before secure payment.
- Do I need to travel to India?
- Usually not. We coordinate by telephone, WhatsApp and local representatives. If an in-person family step is required by a custodian or tradition, we explain that clearly.
- Is this government registration or a religious certificate?
- No. A Bahi is a private traditional family record, not a government register. The Completion Report is an honest record of the service carried out; it is not a religious or government certificate.
